Royal Roe Giveaway

I'm so excited for this post because its my first Mommy & Me Giveaway and its a collaboration with a special shop called Royal Roe.

Vampire Academy Inspired Looks

Hi Ladies & Gents,

With Valentine's Day tomorrow as well as the New York Premiere of Vampire Academy, I thought it would be fun to do three inspired looks of one of the main characters (Rose Hathaway).

Just to give you a little background about the movie.

"The Vampire Academy is Based on author Richelle Mead’s worldwide bestselling series, VAMPIRE ACADEMY tells the legend of Rose Hathaway (Zoey Deutch) and Lissa Dragomir (Lucy Fry), two 17-year-old girls who attend a hidden boarding school for Moroi (mortal, peaceful vampires) and Dhampirs (half-vampire/half-human guardians). Rose, a rebellious guardian-in-training and her best friend, Lissa – a royal vampire princess – have been on the run when they are captured and returned to St. Vladamir's Academy, the very place where they believe their lives may be in most jeopardy. Thrust back into the perils of Moroi society and high school, Lissa struggles to reclaim her status while Rose trains with her mentor and love-interest, Dimitri (Danila Kozlovsky), to guarantee her place as Lissa’s guardian. Rose will sacrifice everything to protect Lissa from those who intend to exploit her from within the Academy walls and the Strigoi (immortal, evil vampires) who hunt her kind from outside its sanctuary. "

I cant wait to see the movie and more excited to see the fabulous costumes designed by Two-time Academy Award nominee Ruth Myers. With that said I chose to give my own take on what a young teen vampire would wear while going to a Vampire Academy. Hope you like the looks and be sure to check out the movie.

The Uniform: "We wanted to go for something that was stylishly cut, chic and interesting, rather than the average school uniform," says Myers. "The students wore different black skirts according to their birthright—both short and mid-length—and the girls' jackets were fitted tightly with a flared peplum waist and braided at the collar,"
I chose an Elie Tahari peplum suede jacket, paired with this cute skater skirt from H&M. I thought it would be cute to wear ankle socks with a Maryjane pump from the Kardashian line.

The Prom Dress Is a very important outfit for Rose's character says Myers because throughout the movie her style is more tomboyish. I decided to put together this forever21 cape with this cute skater dress from Lulus. I added some bling with the clutch and statement bangle.

The Training Gear:.
"By the end of the film, Rose's workout clothes (as seen here) are pretty minimal and form-fitting to show off her well-earned muscles," says Myers.
I believe every girl should have great workout gear. I prefer black because its flattering to any body type.
