Catherine Maladrino For Kohl's DesigNation

I'm so happy I stumbled onto Kohl's online yesterday and caught this line before it hits stores Tomorrow. I really didn't hear much about this collaboration, due to the recent hype of Phillip Lim's Target collection. The designer is the latest to create a lower-priced line for the Kohl's DesigNation program, following in the footsteps of  designers like Derek Lam and Narciso RodriguezThankfully Catherine Malandrino's new collection for Kohl's is oh so good and Parisian Chic. “From the lights and the architecture to the parks and the galleries, I found so much creative inspiration walking the streets of Paris,” said Catherine Malandrino in a recent press release. “My Kohl’s DesigNation collection showcases that experience with a perfect blend of romantic, elegant and Parisian style at an affordable price.” .Malandrino's collection brings her sleek, sexy chic dresses, skirts, tops, pants and jackets ranging from $36 to $130 to the everyday consumer. The line is set to launch September 27, but some items are already available to grab , so hurry and grab your favorite pieces before they're gone! Though a little pricey, if your a Kohl's shopper like myself you  know they always have coupons available, I used a coupon (just4you) for 20% off and I had Kohl's cash, which was great for me, also its free shipping.
Check out the entire collection and my top picks for this Paris themed line.

The black and white sheath dress seen on Olivia Palermo above is probably my favorite item in the whole line. Best part its  only $88  for a Catherine Maladrino dress and that is a big score. Also spotted working a  Maladrino creation Maria Menounos in a turquoise fitted/flare skater dress which I ordered and plan to wear postpartum. Stacy Keibler  rocked the jumpsuit number which I think is a great, piece to have this fall. I picked up the blue, since I already have a black jumpsuit.

My Intimate Maternity Shoot

My Pregnancy thus far.

I'm about 32 weeks pregnant and I can't believe I'm almost there. I've been blessed with a good second and third trimester, hopefully it stays that way. I do have heartburn which is a pain and back ache, but I have a great husband that gives me nice back rubs which helps. So far I have gained 28 lbs which I'm ok with, no stretch marks so far, cross fingers it stays that way. I have been using tummy butter, vitamin E oil and Shea lotion twice a day everyday since I found out I was pregnant. I hear some women get stretch marks after birth, so I will continue my regimen way after just to be on the safe side.

I've tried Prenatal Yoga, but had to stop early on because my Placenta was sitting low, lucky all is ok and I was given the go ahead and start back up because it really helps with expanding your muscles for birthing and I really don't want a c-section,lol. I do walk a lot and take breaks from sitting at work to get circulation in my legs as well. Lucky I have not retained water like most women, but every now and again my feet will swell but nothing extreme. I also am lucky in a sense where I can wear regular clothes...only things I have purchased for maternity were two pairs of mzaternity jeans from old navy and score for me because they were on sale for $5.00.

My plan isto breastfeed for one  year- or pump towards the last few months because I told its healthy for me and the baby, hopefully I am able to produce enough milk.

If I had to list the things I crave...it would be, Fruit, Candy Apples and Avocado:)

Anyway here are some pictures of my intimate maternity shoot. I have really embraced  the weight I've gained...I'm really hoping that  some of it stays put, lets see. I have  always said that when I got pregnant I would take nude pictures, but tastefully and I think my friend Angel hit the mark, I love every picture. I also wanted to do something for my husband since our one year anniversary was so close, so I decided that I would do something with soccer since my husband lives, breathes, eats soccer. Needless to say he absolutely loved every picture. Being a Fashionista I also wanted a glam shot. so we took pictures on the roof of my friends studio.

I hope you guys like the photos and  stay tuned for my pictures of my maternity shoot with my husband and dog (Raven). Cant wait to get the pictures back.

Big thank you to Benita Negron aka Beautyholic_mkupartist for doing my makeup, Ashley aka Mostenviied_Hair for doing my hair and Angel aka ANgelrphoto. Be sure to check them all out on Twitter and Instagram.

Black & White with a Splash of color

Hi Ladies and Gents,

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer, which I feel is breezing by and I don't mind at all since I want my baby to be here now. Sorry I have not been blogging as much, but I'm sure all the mommies and mommies to be, can tell you pregnancy takes the energy out of you, but I have the day off and promise this weekend is going to be full of blogs. This particular post I'm excited about because I collaborated with another mommy to be, Arlene Mendoza aka shoelover88 on instagram. She is another fashion lover that like myself knows that you don't have to sacrifice style and your love of fashion just because you are expecting.
We decided to give  you guys our take on black and white with a splash of color. Being Latina I am not one to shy away from color, as you all can tell from my past post,so this post and collabaration was fun for me.
Here is my take on a
splash of color and details on my outfit which by the way I'm wearing a Butterflyzebra dress, the site I mentioned in my previous post, be sure to check them out.Their dresses are so form flattering and the material is beyond soft. Also make sure you check out Arlene's blog  http://arleenesfashioncloset.blogspot.com/2013/08/pop-of-color-collaboration.html for all her outfit details.

Butterflyzebra

Hi  Ladies and Gents,

I'm so excited to introduce this site that I found, and now obsessed with called Butterflyzebra
The materials they use are beyond soft and flattering for all shapes and sizes, which is great for someone like myself that is now expecting. The great part about their dresses is I can wear them after my pregnancy. I love their motto and take on the everyday woman and plan on purchasing more.

"Women who, in one day, lead the lifestyle that compels transformation from work to casual, from play to dressed-up, or from traveling the world on a jet or simply traveling thru life’s daily rituals…these are Butterflyzebra women.
Life is black and white often, and we reflect that. When it bursts into full color, it is still very much us. Feet planted on the ground, or flying through life, we want the comfort, and we want the chicness in all environments.
Butterflyzebra believes in fabrications of softness and luxury, those that are primarily wrinkle-resistant, provide easy care, are fit-retentive, and always, femininely flattering. We are proud to be 100% designed and produced in the City of Angels: Los Angeles, CA, USA."

Here are my favorite pieces and my look in their Solstice-Dress
